Mrs. Down's Poppy Seed Cake

3 cups flour
1 1/2 teas salt
1 1/2 teas baking powder
4 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
1 1/4 cup oil
2 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teas poppy seeds
1 1/2 teas vanilla
1 1/2 teas almond extract
1 1/2 teas butter extract


GLAZE:
1 1/2 teas vanilla
1 1/2 teas almond extract
1/2 teas butter extract
1/4 cup orange juice


Mix flour, salt, baking powder, eggs, milk, oil, sugar, poppy seed, vanilla, almond extract, butter extract in a large bowl for 2 minutes. Divide batter into two greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. While baking, combine 1 1/2 teas vanilla, 1 1/2 teas almond extract, 1/2 teas butter extract and orange juice to make a glaze. Test with a toothpick to see when the loaves are done; cool slightly. Turn out onto serving plates and glaze while still warm.
