Walk around your home and see what components you already own that reflect light and images.

Do you have any mirrored objects?

How could they be used in a design?

Look at vases, dishes, decorative objects.

Although glass vases provide reflective surfaces,  remember that you must then include the plant material in the vase in your design and even consider the impact of the water line on your balance and rhythm!

The foliage and flowers you choose are not the main elements of this design. You are practicing the art of reflecting light and the plant material will help you compose a unified design.

Of course you will need a source of hydration for your flowers and foliage.  This could be a vase, a shallow dish, or a needlepoint pinholder.

Think about enough weight in your vase or other support to hold up the weight of your chosen design.
